    Hello,
I am planning to visit Greece this summer and i would like to spend time climbing with my kids. They are 9 and 12 and can climb up to 5a/b. Which spots would you recommend to go to, in order to avoid the heat and ideally climb multi-pitch routes? Trad climbing is an option as long as it is graded below 5+. I am also interested in sports climbing spots with routes that would be easy enough for the kids.
Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hi Marc,
From main Greece I suggest you visit Kyparissi. https://climbgreece.com/kyparissi/
Best crags for the kids and to avoid the heat it is Kastraki, Playgroud, Stavros, Vlychada and Watermill.
Just check out the sun/shade times for each crag at the guidebook (https://climbgreece.com/guidebook/) and always climb only in the shade.
Also, Kalymnos island https://climbkalymnos.com/kalymnos-info/ it is an excellent destination for Family climbing holidays during the summer. Best summer family crags it is Arginonta Valley, Odyssey, Symblegades, Noufaro, Cave and Summertime. https://climbkalymnos.com/guidebook/

    I hope this help,
    Have fun in Greece,
    Aris

    Hello,
we have a little baby under 1 year and we would like to go for a climbing trip this winter to enjoy some winter sun (January preferably). Firstly, is mainland Greece even a good choice for this time of year regarding the weather? And secondly what areas are good for having a baby at the crag – safe and relatively flat ground for the baby to sit/lie and with short and easy approach (we carry him in a baby carrier). We climb 6a-7a. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Cheers

First, given the weather at this time of year, is mainland Greece even a wise choice?

First and foremost, is mainland Greece even a viable option for this time of year in terms of weather?
