Welcome to Climb Greece

Climb Greece was created along with the new Greece Sport Climbing guidebook to provide Greece climbing updates and news. Through Climb Greece and Climb Kalymnos, our vision is to inform, inspire, and make Greece an even better climbing destination.

Climb Greece is still a work in progress. Regularly updated features will include an interactive route and crag database, a Greece climbing forum, and up-to-date reports about climbing developments. Great shady venue with easy access, perfect for mid-grade climbers. The grades in the Greece guide are a little erratic, not unexpected with new routes, but the grades listed on UK climbing seem closer to their current state. Anyway the bolting is very well done so it is not dangerous even if you end up on something too hard. Big thanks to the equippers for their hard work.

One route we did would benefit from an extra lower-off. S.O.K is listed as a 2-star 6b+ which climbs a lovely pocketed wall up to a cave and then bursts through a big roof section. To that point it is about 6b/6b+ and really excellent. However, when you pull over the roof it all becomes really desperate to get onto the slab. It is still good climbing but out of character and much harder than anything below. Adding a lower-off at the end of the roof section would transform this to a 3-star 6b/6b+ and the rest could be an extension at about 6c+. Just a suggestion, in case the equippers are back there with a drill.

Thanks again for all the effort in making this such a nice venue for mid-grade climbers.
